Completely left of center, comically sarcastic, and a little fiery, Ripley Caine breaks the mold of the stereotypical "woman with guitar". Ripley and her band (Tony Stompanto - bass, Chuck Harling - drums, and other guest artists) combine the rawness of alternative with the softness of folk and the edginess of rock and roll.

LOVER - the indie label debut by Chicago alternative rocker Ripley Caine. The album, done in conjunction with bassist Tony Stompanato and drummer/producer Chuck Harling, has already gained critical notice as demo tracks earned the band bragging rights to the "Producer's Choice Award" at last year's Access 2 Amsterdam music festival. The new release of "Lover" follows Ripley's sharp debut EP, "Corvair."
