Launched by Singer-Songwriter ANJTE with her debut release Big Open Sky, Sweet Pickle Music exploded on the scene with their critically acclaimed second release Big Fish Little Fish volume 1- Emerging Women in Chicago Music. Now partnered with Emphasis Entertainment, Sweet Pickle's roster is sure to expand beyond the boundary's of "local" talent.
Big Fish Little Fish Vol.2
The compilation CD follows the critical acclaim and success of its older sister, Big Fish Little Fish Vol. 1. The CD provides an encompassing aural glimpse of rising female singer/songwriters from Chicago and their music—and benefits a great cause, the Chicago Abused Women Coalition. Big Fish Little Fish Vol. 2 is part of record label Sweet Pickle Music’s mission to build awareness and exposure for Chicago’s best new artists.
The line-up follows a three-month selection process that winnowed more than 100 song entries to create an eclectic mix of music that crosses all genres. “We were especially struck by the breadth of styles and talent we received,” says Sweet Pickle Music’s Robin Goodman. “This is a powerful showcase of Chicago’s female artists, and a sign of the strength of the music scene here.”
