Founded in 1997 by music and video veterans Al Strutz and Christine Bouchard, Emphasis Entertainment has partnered with various artists to create, design, package, and distribute their original works to the retail marketplace.

Emphasis Entertainment has enjoyed a decade of continued growth and expansion, with multiple industry awards received in all categories of it's businesses including seven Parents' Choice Awards for the year's best in children's music, four Telly Awards for independent film production, and two AEP Awards for distinguished achievement in the educational publishing community.

Additional awards for titles distributed by Emphasis include a Grammy nomination in music, several critic's top album and DVD of the year lists, a DIY album and producer of the year, and an Axiem Silver Award in film.
